Help me please

So I had unprotected sex on March 10 and 11. I went to the hospital the 14 to get birth control pills. My doctor said take it on Sunday, but now I am worried because I don't have my period yet. Is it because of the birth control pills and sometimes I feel like vomiting in the mornings but nothing happens. Doctor says it could be the pills because you recently started. Idk can anyone help me here should I get tested or wait till it comes
