Job search rant!

So I'm job hunting.  I'm in NC, and it seems to be hard to find something that's direct hire, everything is through a recruiter.  Anyway, I was contacted for a potential job that sounds fabulous, and she emails me Fri telling me great news, the hiring manager wants to schedule an interview! I'm super stoked.  I go and buy a fabulous interview outfit.  When she emails me the interview details, I'm expecting an address, etc.  Well, it's a dang phone interview! I mean, I'm still excited for the opportunity, and I suppose if it goes well, they'll bring me in for the in person interview.  But you'd think she could've mentioned in the original email that it was gonna be a phone interview, I mean really.  Plus I was really excited to wear my interview outfit, lol.  Well, I know I'll need it eventually so not like I'll never get to wear it.
But still, when I am told they want to schedule an interview, when it's not specified as a phone interview, I just assumed right away it was in person. I think recruiters should know better than that.
