Going on leave

So because I haven't been at my job for more than a year and as part of my insurance I pay for I qualify for Ada for 25 weeks paid at 50% of my pay I have had issues with high blood pressure thruought my pregnancy today I am 27 weeks today the Drs will only give me 6-8 weeks off after baby is born but they are ok with me going out early because of my blood pressure i had appointments with both my midwife and high risk dr we discussed getting paperwork started for my leave so I called my insurance to get everything started and they were like oh ok ur  officially out on leave as of today I feel like it was to easy and like I need to do more does anyone know anything about Ada leave?
