Moving back in with parents

So I recently lost my job due to medical issues. I went on short term disability and my job fired me while I was on the . My s/o makes just enough to cover the bare min but we have a lot of credit card debt from years ago that we are slowly trying to pay off (about $8,000+) as well as medical debt ($1,000+) but we want to buy a house within the next few years and I feel like this is going to just make things harder for us. I kind of want to ask my mom if we can move in with her so we can just finally get ahead. She is remarried and they have a 2 year old, my half baby brother. I also have a dog and cat plus my s/o. I'm 26, s/o is 27 and we are married. It would be a challenge for sure because stepdad is a bit anal and my dog barks a lot driving them crazy. But it would be sooo helpful for us. How should I bring it up to my mom? Should I even do it or should we suck it up and keep living on our own and slowly paying stuff off? Anyone ever have to do this? Any advice would be helpful.
