HSG test!?

Hi! DH and I have been TTC > 1 year now. We've been tracking everything (I'm super regular!) but just can't seem to get the timing right. SA was normal...now it's onto the HSG test next week! Has anyone experienced this? Pain? pregnancy after? Thanks!

Had it done. Mine was extremely painful but only during the procedure. Got pregnant 3 months later.

I had my HSG this afternoon. I have overcome vaginismus, but Pap smears are still a little tough for me. The HSG felt less painful to me than a pap. I asked for the smaller speculum and extra lubrication. I also asked the doctor to go slowly w the catheter and pushing the dye through. I wouldn't call it a walk in the park, but the anxiety I had was much worse than the procedure itself! Good luck :)

We do those test at my work. Some women don't have any pain and some can't handle the speculum. I think it's different for everyone. I do hear them say to take some Tylenol before hand though.

Had it done in February. No pain but I did take two 500mg Tylenol pain relievers just in case. Plus the doctor who did my procedure was excellent and very meticulous. Everything was normal and clear but still no bfp though 😕

I had it done last cycle. Did not feel a thing! Tubes were clear. No BFP that cycle 😔

Had one done last August. It was not painful and everything turned out normal. Got pregnant the very next cycle which sadly ended in miscarriage. Currently pregnant again and hoping this is my rainbow baby! Good luck and baby dust to u.

I was suppose to have this today but had to reschedule to next cycle due to a uti.  I'm really hoping i get my bfp this cycle so I don't have to do it.   I heard it is painful but it is relatively quick.
