What would you do?

My husband has two kids from a previous marriage and before we got married we were both of the understanding that we would have at least one child together. No he's unsure of what he wants. I feel super sad and am praying that he has a change of heart (I would appreciate your prayers, too). I'm 29 and he's 34. How much time would you give him to have a change of heart?

I'd give it about 6-9 months and then leave if he doesn't change his mind. For me, that's a deal breaker. And on top of that, he was dishonest about what he wanted. You're still young enough to find someone else, get married, and have children. But if you wait years and then leave, you may miss your safe childbearing years. I'm sorry he did that to you :/

I wouldn't have married him to begin with , but that's because I can be a bit selfish and I wouldn't have wanted to share my SO with some one else so soon . 
In your situation I would take a step back and think of what I really wanted . Would I be happy 10 years down the road or regretting staying with him and no longer being able to have kids ? 
Do I love him enough to give up the possibility of being a mom ?

Wow I don't think I would just leave him, that puts you even further from having a child! I would try to work it through a little more and maybe see a marriage counselor to get a better understanding of why he doesn't want kids all of a sudden.

He's allowed to change his mind (I'm assuming he didn't bullshit you when he told you he wanted a child with you earlier). However, you are perfectly entitled to leave someone if their change-of-heart causes you to have one as well. It takes time to meet someone, get married, have a child, etc. And there's still no guarantee.  What do you want more - your husband, or children?
