Do you count months by weeks or birth date?

My baby was born February 7th and she is 8 weeks old today so technically she is two months. Do you count your babies months by the day they were born (like she would be two months April 7th) or by weeks?

We are going by the day. So, my baby is 1 month today because he was born March 3rd. I thought about doing weeks but not every month has the same number of weeks, so that can throw it off.

By the birth date. There are more then 4wks each month so therefore 4wks can't equal one month, except in Feb but not leap yr. My lo was born on the 12th so on April 12th she'll be 5 months but almost 22wks.
