Brown discharge??

I'm five weeks pregnant the last three days I have been having a dark brown/pink brown discharge not much just spotting every few hours… Is this normal? How long does it typically last?

I called and talked to my doctor about this because it is freaking me out but she told me if it gets heavier and you have really bad cramping that doesn't go away then to go to urgent care or the er. She also said to take it easy and rest and that it most likely is implantation bleeding, which I thought happened before your missed period and I'm about 5 weeks and 4 days. But just stay positive! I guess bleeding and brown discharge is common is the first trimester of pregnancy.

Normal unless it increases, clots, or you get cramps. Shouldn't last much longer

I would go to the er or call a doctor I had brown discharge and found out I had a placenta tear.

I'm 6 weeks and have been having brown discharge for 1 week now, did 2 u/s and everything checks out fine.  The discharge is still here and light, my doctor said its normal but has asked me to refrain from sex until it stops. If I were you, I'd contact our doctor just to have an u/s and make sure all is well. Hope this helps!
