Why do taken men feel compelled to look at porn?

Not to generalize, but why do men in relationships (and women as well, for that matter) feel compelled to look up porn and other attractive women (or men) on social media while their significant other is away, even if the relationship is considerably solid?

Because I like masturbating. And like an overwhelmingly majority of other people, I need visual stimulation to get off.

I also like having a little "me time" a couple times a week. Sex is fun (and my sex life with my SO is great), but sometimes I want to be able to focus on just my pleasure, and not my SO's at the same time. I like to wind down after a long day with a bath and a good "session." And for the record, my SO does as well.

As far as looking at people, humans are biologically programmed to notice attractive people. That's the first step in picking a mate. Just because you found your mate, doesn't mean the programming to notice attractive people goes away. Whether it's online, or just while you're walking down the street, it's gonna happen sometimes.

I personally do it to get a quick release when my SO isn't in the mood. I don't mind if he watches it either.  I'm not looking at the men either, to me it's watching the act itself.

I've been with the same guy for 12 years knock on wood I've never caught him watching it. I always kind of wondered if he did. But when he had to get his sperm checked he took pics of me so that pretty well answered my questions
