PMS/PMDD prescriptions

My doctor recently prescribed me fluoxetine for my mood swings and depression associated with that time of the month. Fluoxetine is the generic version of Prozac/Sarafem. Is anyone on this drug or anything like it? Do you like it? Should I expect any harsh effects even though I'll only be taking it around that time of the month? Please let me know what your experiences are.
