Amniocentesis
Has anyone else had this and everything turn out fine? I have a phobia of needles and this test is a long needle that goes into the belly and collects the fluid from round the baby.
I'm getting this test done tomorrow because my blood test had come back with with elevated levels of hcg and a slightly lower lever of Pap A, the nurse has said she has had a look closely to my scans and she doesn't think my baby has Down's syndrome but they think that my placenta might not be growing as well as it should be and its something to keep an eye on, I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant and this is my first, hence the fact that I am freaking out!
Has anyone else had the same and everything turn out ok? The doctors keep reassuring me but I'm a natural worrier.
