Question? Does a Ton of blood tinged mucus mean labor?

Ive been losing a ton of blood tinged mucus today and my lower back is aching. Does this mean labor is going to happen tonight? Im 40+4

I would go in anyway and just say you're worried because of it. Even if you're not. And they'll more than likely keep you until baby comes because you're so far along. I'd say labors probably coming rather quickly anyway. I'd bet by tonight :) That's what I'd do because if I was 40+4 I'd be done waiting! I'm only 36 weeks and I'm impatient haha I can't imagine how you feel

I see you had her April 11. I searched for this question as I have an absolute ton of mucus. My doctor said he expects me to go in the next few days (said that on Oct 26). Hoping it's today. Thanks for your post.

Not necessarily, my sister was losing her mucus plug at 30 weeks and gave birth a day before her due date, I lost my mucus plug and had my bloody show the same night I gave birth ( I delivered 3 days early). Just wait for your contractions to kick in you will know the difference between real contractions and Braxton hicks, they are extremely painful cramp like pains.
