So sick

I've taken mucinex for 3 days and it's barely helping. (My doctor said it's OK) My nose is so clogged up, my head hurts, my eyes are swollen, I'm producing clear mucus so I believe that means it is not an infection. I don't know what else to do...advice? I don't have a neti pot* and heard those may harbor infections, but I'm guessing that's for one's you may have used before. Uuuugh
