Cleft lip ??

Im 21 weeks and had a sono .. Dr didnt tell me anything and i didnt notice till i got out and saw the pics ... What do you think?? My first baby and a bit worried.. Do you see anything on his lip ?

They check for cleft lip at the 20 week scan. They would tell you if they detected a cleft lip. To ease your mind you can call and tell them your concerns . They can reassure you.  I see what your talking about in the picture but I don't think that's a cleft lip .

I think he would have said something if they seen anything abnormal. My boyfriend was born with a cleft lip so we asked them to show us. The doc doing sono said there would be darkness, like a shadow between lip and nose if it was not formed correctly. Thankfully our little boy was perfect. If your really worried you could probably call and have them look at the pics they took..

Is this your anatomy ultrasound? They are supposed to check that. I think they'd say something about it if it were the case. I hope everything goes well with your baby :)

I think it is the angle of the sono.  We just talked with our OB today about this and she said usually if they spot one they will send you to a specialist because there can be (not always) other issues they need to check for as well. I'd say you're in the clear if they didnt mention anything.
