Nexplanon removed and replaced today, do I need to use condoms?

Th
So I went in early to have my nexplanon replaced. (Three years on it would have been in November) After telling my physician that no, I DONT want to switch to Depo or neuva ring, she refused to answer what ever questions I had after she finished removing the old implant and putting the new one in. Main question I have is if it's still effective as birth control, or do I need to use condoms for the next two weeks to prevent any accidental pregnancies? Any help ladies?
