Mother In Law

Everytime i bring up going into labor and delivery with my husband she always she's going to be in the room too. I do not want her anywhere in that room when I deliver. I don't want to upset her, but it's our baby and not hers. Should my hubby tell her or should i tell her that it's just me and him in the room and the medical staff and no one else? And how should we say it?
