Courthouse wedding?

How long is a Courthouse wedding ? 
And what do they make you say ? Like do they still make you say the vows and stuff ?

The officiant who marries you has it all for you so you just repeat after them, and ours even gave us the "book/folder" he was reading out of, then you exchange rings if you have them. I was totally against it at first, because I wanted the dream wedding, but looking back ( 3 months ago) I wouldn't have done it any other way. We had about 40 people all family except a handful of close friends so it made it intimate and it really made the day about the couple instead of a big wedding pleasing all the guests and heres us!

Ours was about 10 minutes, we requested to write our own vows and I waited till family was all inside the room and had my dad walk me in and give me away, short but sweet. If your wanting to read your own vows, just make sure the judge is ok with it! Ours told us no one has ever requested to do it and I was shocked! My hubby and I both were set on writing and reading our own even with a courthouse wedding.

I just got married two weeks ago in fl at the court house and we did not say our vows. We did the normal repeat everything she said..we had our rings. It took 5 minutes!

My husband and I eloped and kept it secret, so we didn't have wedding bands. Our judge was so kind, she said we couldn't get married without rings and made us rings out of paper clips. Almost three years later and my husband and I both still have those paper clips! She asked if we had our own vows. We didn't so did the traditional vows and signed the certificate and done!

After the wedding license is purchased and the waiting period is over, if I remember correctly it was 72 hours,  we had a triple court house wedding. We were joined by two other couples and we were all married in under 20 mins. Didn't have to get married with other couples, we just all agreed to it because it was a busy day and wanted to get out of there.  We said the traditional vows. This was in Texas. Don't know about other states.

They asked us if we had rings or not. They said the vows are a little bit different if you have them versus if you don't. Our ceremony was literally like 5 mins. We are in Pennsylvania.
