Anyone else feel super needy/clingy for the husband after birth?

Yes, like 1-2 weeks postpartum I actually cried cause the baby was keeping us up and we had no time to cuddle just the two of us like we used to pre-baby.

The first two weeks after baby was born I wanted my husband with me 24/7. I was terrified of not having him with me. His presence alone comforted me.

Omg yes, it's super annoying lol. I didn't want anything to do with him when i was pregnant,  now i just want to touch him all the time.  I know I'm being clingy but i can't stop 😂

Yup! I was clingy my whole pregnancy though. But I cry while he's gone and try my hardest to be close to him/touching in some way while he's home. He works 8 hour shifts but is gone longer because of the commute. I dread the days he has to go to work, since he has off on the weekend. I also have this awful thing where I hate other people being around us or us visiting other people. I want alone time with him and the baby and I get so upset if the grandparents try to come over. I'm so awful for it.

He's patient though! I can finally lay flat with discomfort after my c-section, so I moved from the recliner back into bed with him and I've never been happier!!!

I HATE that my husband has to go back to work tomorrow.  Babes is 8 days old and I desperately want my husband's contact.

I feel seriously abandoned when hubby goes to bed before I do. I'm not back to work yet so I feel like he needs solid sleep more than I do. This is our first child so I'm lucky enough to have the ability to nap. No chasing other kids around the like. Which means right now baby and I are sleeping in a different room so night feeds don't wake daddy. This was my idea! Holy crap I feel so damn lonely when he goes to bed and I'm on my own. I know this will pass but it sucks!

I wouldn't say I was needy or clingy but I can say I was very emotional and wanted a lot more attention from my husband. I can recall me having like two or three mental breakdowns a few days after having my girl. He would ask me why I'm crying and I was speechless. I would just think about everything I had just went through ...for him. And before I got pregnant me an him were on the rocks and he would tell me he didn't believe me when I told him I loved him. And the only thing i could relpy to him whe he asked me "what's wrong" or "why are you crying" is ...do you believe me now?? When I tell you I love you...do you believe me now? And then he started crying... We have became a whole lot closer to each other then before and I think he is giving me the respect an the trust that i deserve now that I gave  him a daughter.

Yess. My SO left Friday to go back to work offshore. He'll be gone 28 days and our daughter is almost 3 weeks. We also have a 2 yr old son and I cry almost daily. While I cook or if I look outside or see his shoes by the door or try to find a movie to watch anything that makes me think of him makes me cry. I even googled how to cope when your spouse is away and keeping yourself busy is key. So I'm trying to do that. I'm coming up with a daily routine so I can keep up with cooking, cleaning, working out, and I'm also keeping a journal and following the 40 day love dare! I highly recommend it or watching the movie "fireproof" cried my eyes out! But it's very inspirational and touching .

It was mostly an emotional thing. I felt like we had just been through so much together and it was so intense that I felt really connected to him and the baby. And I wanted the three of us to not be separated. It was hard the first couple of times he left the house, I didn't want the spell to be broken somehow. It was also actually needing his help and feeling really vulnerable.

I'm actually in the no side of being clingy. When I was pregnant and even before I was pregnant I wasn't the most affectionate person. I did show Interest and love for my husband. We are newleyweds. We got pregnant two months after being married. So we definitely made sure to keep the spark alive. 
However, since I've had the baby. (Baby girl is three weeks on Saturday) I've been a whole lot more irritable with him and the affection is not there for me. I've cried to him about how I am feeling. I just don't know how to be a mom and a wife. Being a wife was easy and now I just feel like I can only be a mom. I snap at him and cry about snapping at him. I also cry because I know I'm not being a good wife. In fact I just cry a lot. This was not something I was prepared for. I didn't expect myself to feel this way.
Is there anyone that can relate or shed some light on if I'll ever get my groove to be both a good mom and good wife. 😔
