Should I get the IUD?

Question

I am thinking about getting the IUD in place of the pill because I am bad at remembering to take it, and I don't want any hormonal birth control. If you would like please so share any of your experiences.

For me the side effects aren't worth it. I just had my iud taken out.

I have paragaurd a 10 year non hormonal iud and it so worth it! The day you get it put in is really rough and the cramps for the next 6 months are very uncomfortable but, to me, it's worth the peace of mind!

I had one and hated it, the Paragard causes awfully long and heavy periods (which lead to anemia for me). I had to have an emergency removal, and my longterm BF and I decided the pull out method was best for us because we're okay with the risk of pregnancy. If you're not though, I'd say the Paragard is worth a shot. Some people love it.
