1 year old cat and new 8 week old puppy

How do i do this? How do I bring in and adjust our new furbaby to our home? Im worried about my boy incase he doesnt accept her. Do i just come into the room with the pup in my arms and let him sniff? What if he hisses or freaks out? Im so nervous, the pup is a yorkie so shes super small and he could kill her pretty quickly in seconds if they were to both go under the sofas... Im freaking out i just want it to go as smoothly as possible so can anyone share tips please? Thanks in adv.
