Cried at work

So I work in pediatrics so babies are around me everyday.. Today we had a mother come in with her six kids and two of them didn't even have any shoes on.. Well what's worse is this mother was drunk and she had no idea what was going on around her.. My boss ended up calling dyfus on her and the kids were taken.. I just broke down and cried.. Here I am struggling for my own to love and this woman has six and is drunk at a doctors office noneless.. Sometimes I question what have I done to not be so lucky?
