Partial placental abruption... HELP!

Kim • A mommy to 4 wonderful boys but have decided to try one last time for a girl.

OK, so I am 27 weeks and 1 day but little miss is coming in at around 25 weeks in size. Tuesday I went for a monthly sonogram to check her growth and the tech saw a blood clot. They quickly admitted me, then shipped me to the University of MD because I was contracting. Now here we are Thurs night, I am finally off the magnesium and have had 2 steroid shots for her lungs. She has been happy and active with no contractions since Tuesday night/wed morning.

I just talked to a doctor and they said I'm not allowed to leave until I deliver. Why? I know what's going on but most women this happens to go home on strict bed rest and meds. I have 4 boys at home, over an hour away so being this far and hubby coming and going is extremely hard. I just want to know why I can't be on bed rest at home and check in with my doctor weekly? I'm not trying to sound like I don't care about my baby. I just don't understand why other women go home and I can't. I'm literally just sitting here. No meds are being given now, nurses come and go and everything is good. Anyone else have this happen to them? I need some advice!!!
