No epidural. Experiences?

Question

I had my daughter at 19, I got the epidural because I just went along with what they suggested, but all I remember is praying it would wear off because I was paralyzed from the waste down, my contractions stopped after I received it and had to be induced, and I just felt I wasn't really experiencing labor being so helpless and numb. So I decided no epidural with this one. Any moms out there that have experienced with and without? Which did you prefer. Any tips or use any epidural alternative?

I had both my boys with no pain relief...first was on a bed and my second was a water birth which I can honestly say eases the pains so much! I'd personally never have an epidural I can't imagine not feeling anything and trying to push without the real painful urge you get without an epidural. That's just my opinion. As long as baby is born healthy that's all that matters 😊

I didn't have any pain relief at all with my first and as hard as it was and as much as I thought I was in hell I honestly couldn't imagine doing it any other way, I chose not to have anything because I wanted to really experience labour especially with my first and I loved that I knew exactly what was going on and felt in control. Will definitely be doing it natural again this time. Just remember that even if it doesn't work out well you can have something there "just in case" :)

I had the epidural with both of mine. My first labor wasn't bad with it because they just gave me a tiny bit, but with my second labor, it took 8 hours AFTER I had my daughter for me to begin to wiggle my toes. I regret ever considering an epidural. I honestly probably could've done it all without any of the drugs, but I was just so done being pregnant!! So, following, as I want one more baby to love and I want to know all about epidural-less labor :)

1st was an epidural, I also hated it because I couldn't feel what was going on. 2nd I did natural and was easier because I knew what was going on. Will go natural again for my 3rd.

I have a high pain tolerance, and amazing support. I think my biggest hurdle is convincing myself I can do it.   If anyone has any tips about on what helped them get through it I would appreciate it!

I'm a FTM, and I plan to do natural labor. However if it reaches a point that I can't handle it anymore, i'm having an IV drip/shot for a backup.

Which that being said, I have a very high pain tolerance. So I figure I will do well. Plus I intend on walking around a lot during the labor.

They gave me a little because my contractions had me on the floor where my body was in shock I couldn't move period!

I was only on it for like an hour! 
Once it was time to push they took me off it and waited an hour once the contractions started coming again they were STRONG and I pushed for 10 mins
