1st pregnancy appt

A couple of questions as this is my first time being pregnant. I was 3 days late for my period so I took a pregnancy test (actually 2) and both were positive. I called my obgyn to make an appointment and they scheduled me in 2 weeks. I thought it would be sooner. Anyone know why they do this? I can't wait 2 weeks to confirm!! I'm very impatient! Thanks.
