If you want past your due date, how many weeks and did they have to induce?

Hello! I'm currently 40w 3d and I'm pat my due date. My doctor is talking about induction but I want to go naturally. If any of you delivered late how late and were you induced or was it natural? I would love to hear any comments or suggestions from your experiences.

I can't say from experience but I think *most* doctors won't let a woman go past 42 weeks

I've heard many times that the average length of pregnancy for first time moms is actually 41, 3 days. So, no worries! I know in Oregon, according to law, medical practitioners have to induce at 43 weeks. But if they aren't legally required to induce you, let the baby bake! Babies come when they're ready!

With my second I was induced at 42weeks and with my third he was 4days over I had 5sweeps n went into labour not sure if that was my body or the fact I'd been fiddled with so much lol

I was 43 weeks by accident I told the doctors they were wrong in my due date they wouldn't listen that's why I had a huge baby and she's now 17 pounds and 25 inches long at 3 months

In France you can past your due date 5 days, then, the Ob-gyn check your cervix, you can have 2 more days only. If the baby doesn't show up, the doc give you something to induce labor or you have a C-section. You can't past more than 7 days.
