Is it possible to get pregnant with an IUD

Ok so I currently have an implant but I want to get it removed bc I hate it. I've had terrible side effects the entire time and since they haven't gone away yet I want it removed. But anyways, my boyfriend and I (we're monogamous so we don't use condoms) want to make sure after I get my implant removed I can switch to something that's just as effective. And he ejaculates in me when we have sex so it has to be highly effective.
