What to do..

I am 17 turning 18 & The father of my child is 22. I find that he is very emotionally abusive and I want to leave. I'm only scared too because he is the only one working full time and able to support our child... He has threatened me before telling me that if I leave , he will go for full custody and make sure I never see our baby again. I'm 18 weeks pregnant, I want to leave him but I don't know what to do.  The father of my child constantly tells me that I am going to be a horrible parent & that he will get full custody because he makes the money while I'm still a high school student.  I have money saved from when I did work part time (just over 4,000) and my parents support and my family. I just don't want to lose my baby😪.

Your,not going to lose your baby. He can't do anything if you have family support and continue school and have money saved up. No judge will take your kid from you and give it to the father. You have to be so unfit and he has to prove it. Like drugs alcohol use.there's nothing he can do in fact they will get him for child support.

Unless you're actually posing a threat to your little one, he won't be able to take the baby away. I find that most guys try to say that as soon as a girl mentions wanting to leave. Most states rule in the mother's favour by default anyway. Don't let him guilt you in to staying with him just because you're afraid of him taking your child. It won't happen. 💖

He cant get custody because of your age.. however, the smart thing to do is start a diary, and record every thing he says to you. Keep txts, and record phone calls. A judge loves strict evidence, and it will show he is the piece of shit. Trust me from experience!  Save those text messages!! It will be worth it in the end!!!

If hes emotionally abusive then I would leave him. And if hes threatening to take the baby, dont put his name on the birth certificate.

Girl run. He can't take your baby, he's just showing another form of abuse, trying to manipulate you.

Call your mother or your father and tell them everything. Hopefully they come and get you immediately.

I was emotionally abused and that only progressed to other forms of abuse. How he talks to you is how he will talk to your baby. For your safely and he babies, call a family member immediately.

You have rights as a mother. He can't just take your baby from you! You should talk to your parents about this, so they can help you understand your rights.

Im 17 and the father of my baby is 21. I just had my little girl on the 19th and the hospital gave us the gardest time when we signed the birth certificate because since we aren't married legally, he technically "isn't the father and won't have legal rights " but there is a form they allowed us to sign called an acknowledgement of paternity that you and he will both sign in order for his legal rights to the child to be acknowledged (pretty common sense) if you don't sign this, he has no rights over your child. I don't know much else because the only similarity we have is age but I hope it helps a little
