Sushi?

I am a sushi addict! I am 9 weeks and haven't had it since I found out, I also haven't had any appointment to consult my doctor about it. My mom ate sushi her entire pregnancy with my 2 sisters and I and we're just fine *besides were all addicted to it. What's your opinion?

You can have cooked sushi if there is such a thing. Because it is the raw fish that cause issue and avoid fish with high mecury. Or you can just wait til your Dr appt. to ask your OB. I plan to ask them about sea food.

People in Japan do not eat sushi all the time. That's a stereotype. Granted, they eat a small piece of cooked fish with rice often.

This is sort of reminds me of the arguments against eating soft cheeses, cold cuts, cured meats and small amounts of alcohol. IMO, small amounts are fine. Just go to a reputable place.

You can't have anything raw, that has touched raw, or is high in Mercury. Other than that, you're safe. My docs even signed off on it.  Just make sure you go to a very reputable place and let them know that it can't touch raw fish. I eat fully cooked rolls with crab.

I also crave sushi but I've had veggie rolls instead of raw fish. It's done the job!
