Becoming vegetarian/vegan?
I have been a meat eater all 17 years of my life. I like to cook and make new recipes and basically every one of them have some type of meat in it. Everyone in my family eats meat (except 2 people) Now for my health and the treatment of animals I want to stop eating meat and dairy completely. I've been easing myself into it, first I cut off red meats, then pork, chicken and turkey , and now I occasionally eat sea food but soon I will cut that off as well. I've started eating "meatless meat" and I love it I just have to get used to the texture. My stepdad is vegan because he's allergic to some meats, dairy wheat and gluten and my mom is trying to be a vegetarian but she eats meat every week. They don't think I will stick with this new diet so they won't buy me food that isn't microwaveable meat or food in boxes. My brother still eats that stuff but I'm sick of it. I've basically been eating frozen pizza, ramen and salads for the past month and a half. Does any one have any recipes I can try, tips on how to become vegan, or good foods and snacks?
