Trying...

Lucy
My second period post-miscarriage is due next week.
Last week I found out a close friend is pregnant. Her and her husband had been going the "we're not using protection and when it happens it happens" route. I'm really happy for them. They'll make amazing parents.
But that dark side has struggled with the news. I was actively trying (opk tests, tracking etc) from the beginning (last September), found out I was pregnant in January, miscarried (painfully) in March.
I hope it happens soon, but at the same time, it still sort of hurts that those who don't know our story will think of our pregnancy as the second, or "oh wow! You're also pregnant?!".
Anyway, things are tougher right now. I never imagined getting pregnant would be this emotionally straining.
