If it fell off on it own YES - my little mans was like this and within 2 days it was fully healed and the rest come off (what was stuck inside belly button like yours)

I'm a NP - it looks like an umbilical granuloma. If there is green discharge or bloody discharge call your pediatrician and they might do silver nitrate (antibiotic) in office to dry it up

Yes, in my non-medical opinion, it  appears to look normal. If you're concerned about it, mention it to your doctor during your next well baby visit. Usually they will check it and clean it up a little, if needed. My son's had a yellowish-greenish gooey looking center and I thought it might have been infected, but when we saw our pediatrician he said that was normal, and it healed up just fine 🙂

Totally normally my son is now 2, he turned 2 on the 25th of April . His cord fell off on its on about a week after he was born , it looked the same way. It also has some blood. When you wash your baby don't wash that area. Let it heal, apply A&D so it won't get dry and hard . You will start seeing improvements within a few day. I did the A&D twice a day for 5 days and I started to see improvements . I also at night didn't put a oneies on him and allowed it to breath 👍😀
