No graduation ceremony for kindergarteners
I was just informed through an email from the PTA that my daughters class will not have a graduation ceremony because two children will not be passing into the 1st grade. I don't think it's right. It's another one of those "if one child can't, they all can't."
Now to the controversial part😒
Do you think this is a healthy form of teaching our youth to conform to treating their peers equally? If this is acceptable for lower grade levels, would it be acceptable for senior graduates? After all, not all seniors graduate.
Side note: I'm not angry or throwing a fit that my child won't have a ceremony, but I am saddened. She's the only one out of friends and family that won't have this memorable moment. I feel like the rest of our children were robbed because two children weren't able to participate. Yet, they'll most likely move up next year...?
