Growth scans

Can you request growth scans? I've been recommended to have a c-section after having long term damage from naturally birthing my son 12 months ago but I really want to go natural again. If I asked them for extra scans to estimate baby's weight do you think they would take me seriously? Then if baby is looking on the larger side to have the c-section but it average to brave it naturally?! Please no bashing, the recommendation for a c-section has been very upsetting for me and so has dealing with my long term issues surrounding my first born. Thanks. X
