TTC after ovarian ectopic (ovary removal)
Hi! I'm new to this group! Fell pregnant quickly in March after coming off birth control in December (was on it for 17 years to regulate cysts beginning at 12). Had been using ovulation kits and timing ovulation for three months. There were only a couple days of excitement because I was scanned early due to low rising hcg and awful, awful pains. I knew something wasn't right, could feel it! Hcg levels rose Very slowly and I ended up doubled over in pain, with internal bleeding from a ruptured ectopic 2.5 weeks ago
The pregnancy in March ended up a rare type of ectopic, ovarian in which they had to remove my ovary and tube on my left side. I am devastated. The hcg level dropped to 12 last Monday, April 25th and we didn't have to have it re-tested. The doc who did the surgery said while exploring to find the ectopic initially, he checked and cleaned up my right side, it looked healthy and he didn't see any reason why I could have another pregnancy. (Of course I'm worried they might have said anything to a crying woman in recovery who only just married, is 30 and just lost half her system).
I'm going to wait the recommended 2 cycles (which is so hard to do when all I want now is to get pregnant again!). Praying my cycle resumes itself on the right side.
I've been having signals my system might be restarting, and ovulating? I was testing ovulation with strips all last week and all were negative. However yesterday I had clear, watery cm (heavy) and today I took an ovulation test and got the below picture. Doc said I could ovulate within two weeks and to not have sex, are my cycles resuming themselves?!?!?!? What are your thoughts? Anyone have success after an ectopic? I've been so consumed with looking information up online on any page I can find (wow, is that a dark hole sometimes). The ovulation test is first response, also use wondfo.
