Have you or your SO done hard drugs?

Question

I'm just wondering how many people have overcome the addiction to  hard drugs! My boyfriend use to do meth but has been about 12 years clean! I'm so proud of him. :)  tell me your horror stories, your funny stories (we all know there are some) and how you recovered. :) I don't mean this to be offensive so if it is, just move on please :)

My husband use to do just about everything known to man.  He was a professional fighter and had a rough childhood and it was hard for him to cope. About a week before we met he landed in the hospital with an overdose...after we met I didn't know there was anything different about him. I mean, he didn't look like a drug user.... so one day we talked about it at length. I asked him- how it was so easy for him to quit....and was he still using/did he have cravings(?). His response to me was that since he met me he doesn't need them anymore. They have never been a problem since I've known him (3 years) as a matter of fact, he has gotten numerous promotions at work since then.  He's the first African American in the history of his company to hold his current position. So proud of him :-)

I'm a recovering addict, 2 years clean from pills and cocaine! I started at age 13 and it was a long hard road to get where I am now but the battle is never over! Good luck to everybody in the struggle!

Boyfriend used to do cocaine and fucked up and Accidently got meth before he smokes weed once and awhile but other than that he's clean now if I find out he's doing it again I'm leaving last time was so bad I can't deal with it ever again

My Boyfriend Was An Alcoholic & Drug Addict. But Has Been Clean For About A Year Now & I've Only Tried Marijuana & It Was Nasty. I Have Only Gotten Drunk Twice & Trying To Stay Away From It.
