Maybe a Little TMI? 😩

Question

So I was recently prescribed Trazadone. I have been on lots of medications in the past 8 years to treat my anxiety, depression, and PTSD. (I know, unfortunately I struggle with the mighty three..) I've never been on Trazadone.

So here it goes. I'm having a bit of constipation. And I've NEVER struggled with this before. I looked up the side effects, and it is the most common one there is. 
 
I'm already taking stool softener. But nothing is really happening. I made an appointment with my psychiatrist but it is not until the 25th of the month.

I'm wondering if anyone else is on this drug, and if this is normal, and how you would solve this.

I am also prescribed Lexapro and Clonopin but have no side effects from these whatsoever.

Any help would be much appreciated! 😊

Yes, eat a tonne of fibre and bran to help things move along, if nothing happens you might need to try a laxative

I took it a few years ago. I think that went away after I had been taking it a few weeks.

Try eating rasin bran...i took it for most of my childhood and early adulthood

Metamucil is miracle #2 juice in my opinion.

I took trazodone for yrs and was never constipated but try a couple prunes or dried apricots they're yummy and really help. If you want more immediate relief take 1/2 a bottle of mag. citrate. Drink tons of water.
