Fibroids anyone?

I have been having intense lower abdominal pain for 3 days, the intensity has gone from bad to worse. I have a couple of fibroids pushing on my bladder and the growing uterus is causing these problems. I had an uktrasound and it was confirmed that it's fibroids. I have been asked to take Tylenol extra strength, but oh my the pain! I can't bear it!! Doc says it might be this way for a few days. I am a pretty active person but now have just been in bed for 3 days :(
Anyone facing this? Any home remedies that I can try?

I experienced severe pain from a degenerating fibroid when I was at 16 weeks. Worst pain I've ever had in my life. I also took extra strength Tylenol but it didn't help. The only thing that gave me a little relief was a hot water bottle. The pain was severe for about 5 or 6 days then gradually subsided. Sorry, I know that isn't very helpful. I decided to tough out the pain at home since I didn't want any narcotics for baby's sake and I figured that's what the hospital staff would've offered. I regret that decision now since the "byproducts" of the degenerating fibroid irritated my uterus and it turns out I was having contractions that caused my cervix to shorten. Now I'm on bedrest and getting weekly injections, also had to have surgery to place a cerclage. Not trying to scare or stress you at all, I just wish I knew ahead of time how much trouble this fibroid could cause. Best of luck and if the pain becomes severe, I'd recommend going to see your Dr or going to the hospital!
