Period while pregnant?

A friend of mine says she didn't know she was pregnant until she was 6 months along because she had a normal, monthly "period" through the entire pregnancy... Is this even possible? If so, how? I can't find very good info about it on the Internet.

It's not a true period, but yes. Women can bleed and they mistake it for their period.

It's not actually a period, as in, she wasn't ovulating and shedding her uterine lining. Her uterus was already busy lol. She must have had very regular breakthrough bleeding which is common.

It is possible but not very common. A friend of mine mom when through the same thing and she had a healthy baby.

I've had monthly bleeding while pregnant. No blood clots, of course but it's always possible.
