Does anyone plan this extensively?
I want to stay home as much as I can, and my husband will need to work less (and then not at all) to finish his teaching program-although we are hoping he might be able to student teach and be hired somewhere as a teaching assistant to be able to do both so his student teaching hours aren't unpaid... However, we want to have a baby soon (much because of my own health, I have a condition that deteriorates eventually and want to be as fit as I can during our kids most important developing years).
.
If I get the job I want (which has discounted daycare in house) I should be able to work full time and then move down to part time once the baby is born. I know it could take longer to conceive, so I'm trying to plan out when can be the earliest possibility to conceive and be able to afford it.
.
And we plan on living minimally even after my husband becomes a teacher and has a MUCH better paying job, so we definitely can live off of his income alone after he gets into his career job. (Which in our state has an average $4,000 a month salary) that may not seem like a lot to some people, but we've found ways to live off of only $1,200 a month steady income.) But because we're living off of less right now, I feel I must plan plan plan to get the timing right so if we are blessed enough to conceive immediately, we can still afford it.![](https://asset-cf-cdn.glowing.com/forum/529a344124defd47ec0df28849a23543.jpg)
