Do you have a different political ideology than you're parents?

Question

For example, my grandmother has been a republican her entire life and my dad is very liberal. On the other hand, my mom's parents were very liberal and so was my mom. I'm trying to figure out how many people have different views than your parents.

I have no idea what their political stances are and don't care to. Politics makes for bad dinner conversations.

I think we have similarities. There's some things I agree with, and others I don't. I'm not huge into politics. As i feel like they're all just liars anyways. So I don't really know where I fit into the spectrum. Lol.

My entire family is conservative republican, my grandpa is even in our local government as a respected republican. My SO and I are more liberal. My dad is closer to republican, but my mom doesn't pay attention to politics. I'm the oldest of 13 grandchildren and a younger sister and most of the kids in the family are leaning more toward democratic/liberal thinking as they get older which my family is very upset about.

I'm the only liberal in the family. And I can't tell them because they would kill me. My dad called me the other day just to rant about how awful Hilary Clinton is and then got off the phone... My mom tells me all the time how awful Obama and sanders are. It makes me super uncomfortable. And I can't even be truthful with them. I hate it.

Mine are both republicans. I lean more towards independent. However, they tend to have some liberal views. I'd say my dad is a bit more conservative than my mom.

Dad is very republican and my mom is more Democrat. I'm weird because I have some things in very far right about and some I'm very far left lol so maybe somewhere towards the middle:)

My parents are both Republicans; I'm an Independent but I lean towards Republican. My little brother is a liberal, though.
