This is a personal opinion and no one can tell you what is right but you. I know myself, and personally we are telling at 6 weeks. I can't keep it a secret any longer (2weeks to go). This is suppose to be a happy time, in my opinion, once you hear a heartbeat, celebrate!! I'd rather have more love and support if somethin happened than less. Like I said, it's a personal choice. I would announce to close friends and family but i would probably hold off announcing to the rest until 12 weeks when your risk of miscarriage drops drastically

I am only 3 weeks and I did announce it to all my family and close Frieds.  I am so happy that I couldn't wait. I will remain positive, I have faith that everything will be okay.  (Personal opinion).

My first pregnancy ended with a mc. I didn't tell anyone, which made it harder to go through. This time around my family and close friends know. If something does happen (hoping it doesn't), I'll have the support to get through it.

I would say at least until after your first ultrasound, or at least until the doctor checks for a heartbeat.

My first pregnancy ended in a mmc. I had told immediate family (parents, sisters), my two best friends and my boss (who is more like a friend). Without their support when I lost the baby, I don't know what I would have done.

So my response to you is - go ahead and tell who you want.  Maybe don't make a "world wide" announcement until 12 weeks.  But whatever happens, good or bad, you're gonna want that support. ?

Totally personal choice when it's right for you. I'm 5 weeks today. When I found out We decided to wait to 12 weeks as a friend told us early then had a missed miscarraige so we were scared of the same, but the more I think about how she had her friends to support her the more I realise I couldn't hide it if bad news came and would want support. So we have decided to have an early scan (private in uk) to detect heartbeat at 8 weeks and then we are going to tell the family Xmas eve. We will hold off big announcements til new year when we have the major scan. 
Iv also got some stats here about chances of a loss after having heard a heartbeat- they are slim from quite early on so I feel so much happier with this! For example my chances have dropped 3% since Saturday! Hurray! So our scan will be 8 wks which is only .2 more chance than any week thereafter! GL and congrats!

I think its just wat u are comfortable with. I told my family as soon as we got our bfp I figure god forbid but if something did happen I would talk to them about it and they would be my support anyway but just close ppl like mom dad and sisters I haven't told friends or cousins etc.. it just wat u r comfortable w
