So awkward just asking for a little advice

Okay so me and the dude I date were at the store getting drinks and then he came out and seen his friend and they gave each other high fives... Well when my dude walked to the car his friend asked him to come back to the car because his girlfriend said she knew him from school and wanted to say hey .... My dude kept saying my girl right there cause I was sitting in the car ... Is this something I should worry about ??
