Implantation cramps?

Anyone remember having implantation cramps (8-10dpo) with a previous pregnancy? If so, did you also get spotting or no? I have been cramping the last few days but no spotting. It sorta feels like ovulation cramps but on both sides. Trying so hard not to "symptom spot" so I'm wondering how common it is to experience these cramps about a week before AF is due. I will be taking a pregnancy test this Friday/Saturday when I expect AF, but figured I'd reach out for others' experiences in the meantime!
