Advice wanted

Okay, so I had thought I lost my mucus plug a few nights ago, like the whole Glob and had very little contractions... I was told that it was fine and it'll just rejuvenate over time. Tonight I was intimate with my SO around 4 1/2 hours ago and I've been having some cramping/contractions. They do hurt- but I can handle it. Pain scale is 4-10 . I don't want to go to L&D so they can monitor me for 4 hours and send me home (as usual) . If I still have cramps tomorrow morning should I just go anyways? Could this be preterm labor? My water hasn't broken..

Update: they're actually something I'd consider constant...lol
