Am I being over organised?

Question

So we're planning for a baby, I'm not pregnant yet I don't think, but if I start buying stuff like nappies, vests, and a cot and stuff, is that being silly? I'm just really excited. And think if I buy stuff now it will save a lot of money and time!

We didn't buy stuff, but started saving money instead. That way if it took awhile, nothing would be out of date or newer models available etc

It's a good and a bad idea. When ur pregnant it will take stress off you bc ur ready but if u struggle to get pregnant it cud b a sad reminder that ur not pregnant yet and make u more frustrated. My friend wanted a baby so bad and when I was pregnant she would go shopping with me n buy stuff she found adorable that she couldn't resist but in the end buying stuff for a baby she didn't have broke her heart and made it so much harder. Maybe just start a baby savings account so when u get pregnant u have money saved to start buying stuff.

I wouldn't buy anything by now. What if it takes years to get pregnant? Probably the most stuff is outdated by than.... and: usually you buy a lot stuff that you don't need.... So you waist your money.... First get informed what's REALY necassary - and than, after your Babyshower go shopping if something is missing. Until than: take every month some dollars back to save up for later. So you'll have much money at the time you need the stuff and you know what you realy have to buy. Good luck.

I personally wouldn't. I'd just start saving money but thats just me. It took us 8 months to concieve. It was hard enough seeing a negative test every month without having to look at baby stuff to but if it works for you thats awesome!

Not a bad idea at all! My husband and I did this before finding out I was pregnant and it saved us so much time, money, and stress 😊 it is always better to plan ahead!

Only hung I warn against is its suppose to be bad luck to buy stuff for the baby early ESP if the baby isn't here.  I know it's just a superstition but what if it takes your years to get pregnant?  Hopefully it doesn't.  Maybe save the money you would use so you have it when it's time!  I hope you get a BFP soon!!

That's not silly. I would do that. You will get your baby soon and it will save all the stress of getting the stuff when you are actually pregnant. Good idea if you ask me
