Should I stay or go?

Question

So me and my fiancé have been together for 2.5 years and everything was fine until a couple of months before I got pregnant. Here I am at home alone cuddling with my dog and pillow...6 months along (23w5d) and he's out yet again for the 4th night in a row drinking with his friends. I've tried talking to him about is but he just gets angry and says "why the f**k do I have to be stuck at home? I wanna live my life before the kid gets here!" He doesn't even call the baby 'he' or 'our son' it's always 'the kid'

Relationships worth having don't always come easily and may need hard work to save. My relationship is awesome now but we've had really terrible times and needed to work to get things back on track. It wasn't fun but was so worth it! Since we worked through our issues of not working well together, issues have been identified earlier and no longer become as big of an issue, so it can make things better in the long run.

Oh and our issues were around not spending time together, so similar to yours. Plus I was so unhappy at work if was making me miserable at home, probably why we didn't spend time together.

He sounds very cold. Is that someone you want to spend the rest of your life with? Counseling can only do so much. It's hard to make it as a single parent but it's harder if you have someone manipulating you and making you feel worthless. I would go... But that's just me. Maybe when you go he will realize what he lost.

Sounds like maybe he just has some growing up to do. Doesn't make him a bad person, maybe just wasn't/isn't ready to be a parent. Counseling is a good idea if both parties are willing but to me he doesn't seem like the kind that will be open to it since he doesn't think he's doing anything wrong. Only you know if you should stay or go because you are the one that has to live with him. Is this his only bad quality? Will he provide for the family and treat you with respect and be a loving father?

I agree that going to counseling would probably be the best choice. My husband and I have had our fair share of problems while I've been pregnant and we've decided on going to counseling. It can only help. I hope things get better.

Me and my husband split just before I found out I was pregnant after IVF. I can't believe the person I married now & am much happier without him but I know it's not going to be easy raising a bub on my own. Hard to base a decision on a small amount info in yr question. Maybe u guys cld work through it with counselling. Worth a shot right.. Good luck x

I think you need counselling before making any decisions. Even though we don't have serious problems, my husband and I regularly see a counselor, just to make sure everything is on track :)

For more info, 
•He quit his job about two weeks ago. We now half to stay at his parents house which is really full, and they tell me to lock my dog up if we leave. 
•He used to like seeing my face and front during sex and now all we do is doggy or spooning, which still involves my back being towards him. 
•When I try to put his hand on my belly when the baby kicks he rips it away and says I'll see enough when I have him for the next 18 years. 
•He's already told me once the baby comes I have to leave and that he is gonna have custody of our son. 
•in the beginning, I didn't know I was pregnant for the first 8 weeks, I drank and smoked and starved myself the whole time but stopped as soon as I found out and now he says I'm a horrible mom, or how I supposedly tried to kill him(the baby) or how the baby isn't his. Just yesterday he accused me of lying to him when I found out I was pregnant, he said I knew and I was just trying to get rid of it before he noticed.

Should I stay or go?
