19 DPO, confused and a little sad

Just took my first test (FRER) at three days late and it's a bfn. I definitely ovulated on the 11th. I have had some light spotting since what should have been day one of AF but no period. Don't know what's going on here. My breasts are sore and I'm exhausted and dizzy though those symptoms lessened a bit yesterday and this morning; If I have to feel this uncomfortable, shouldn't I at least get the two lines I so want to see?

But I guess there are no rules in TTC. It's kind of a knock-down, drag-out, full contact, fight club most of the time. And all the movies make it seem so precious and beautiful... I'm calling shenanigans. This is some total crap right here.
