I have not had a baby. But we will be trying in near future...
Ive heard so many things both sides. Just curious.
Im also nervous to get really loose

Not in a rude way at all, but I think you should seriously look into how the woman stretches at birth and how fast your body goes back to "normal" you would be surprised. The whole talk of becoming lose after having a baby may very well be the case for very few but it really is just a comment from ignorant people & it effects the way women think of after birth.

Most likely a man myth.     I was worried about it.  My son was 8lbs13oz.   My boyfriend said I was tighter after childbirth. (It was difficult to the point where he would have trouble controlling his orgasms long enough for me to climax!)  
  
I practiced lots of kegels during the whole pregnancy and afterwards.

Sex is a little uncomfortable after delivery for the first couple times.   It was back to normal about 3 weeks to 1 month after delivery. 
To keep the sex from being BAD.  
I asked my obgyn to help with perineal massage during labor to help stretch for delivery.   You start this  4-6 weeks prior to your due date.   I was against having an episiotomy.    Ask your OB regarding your wishes. You don't want to find out during delivery when they are about to cut you!   I left my OB when I was 3 months pregnant and found an OB that treated me as I wished.
