Is taking birth control good to stop periods?

When I was like 13 my mom put me on birth control and I use to take it how I was suppose to till my period hit and I would take 3 to stop my period right as it was happening. Could this effect my way of conceiving now?

I used to take my pills till I got to the end of pack and threw the start pills away and kept taking them. Never took 3 at once and I never had a period till my insurance found out I was abusing them and made me wait to pick up a new pack. That's when I decided to do the mirena for 3 yrs and I didn't have a period either just spotted once in a blue moon.

No you shouldn't have a problem. What you did isn't a super great idea since it's a lot of hormones to ingest at once, but it wouldn't have had any longterm effects.
