Said the wrong thing

So basically my daughter was concieved but artificial insemination by a friend. Earlier me and my wife were talking and i said to my lg about her dad (shes 15months). I dont know why i said to her , her dad as he is a donor. Since my wife is now not talking to me and isnt sure if she wants to be with me. Ive apologised and said i dont know why i said it as i truly dont, ive never said it before so i dunno. Im so upset and so is she. God knows how were gonna move on from here or if we can :( dunno what to do atall.
